How to Fight and Save Your Marriage Today

by Wink on May 11, 2010

You may be in the fight of your life and trying desperately to save your marriage today. I know marriage isn't like boxing where you get to train for months or years before you get into the ring. Unfortunately, there is no real training before you enter the marriage ring.

You think you know how it is to be married because you grew up around married couples. You have seen good marriages and bad ones. You have friends who were married before you and they have shared what it's like to be married. You save all of those memories of marriage and think you know how to be married. The only problem is none of the people you looked at or talked to is you or your spouse. Your marriage experience can be similar or totally different than theirs.

So you have found out that seeing other marriages doesn't quite prepare you for the real deal. It's like watching professional boxing and thinking you have learned enough to step into the ring. You put on the boxing gear and march down to the ring and stand toe to toe with your opponent. You think you know how to fight until a few seconds into the fight when you feel a right hook on your face and you go down. The only thing that can save you is the fact that you can't get up.

Well you feel like your marriage is a fight and you are trying everything you can to save it. I hope and pray that you are able to do so. Marriage is one of the most important decisions and commitments we can make in our lifetime. Although, you weren't able to prepare for all the obstacles you find yourself fighting in your marriage, there is no reason why you can't start taking some steps today to make sure you win the fight.

One of the greatest movie theater boxing stories was Rocky Balboa. If you aren't familiar with his story here's the short version. He gets the crap beat out of him in every fight. He cries a lot, gets upset and knocked down more than any other fighter. However, he never quit and in the end always found enough strength to win.

You have to have the same desire, determination, purpose, focus and fight to save your marriage. Today could be the day that you begin to turn things around in your marriage.

If you feel like you have been beat down and you are ready to throw in the towel realize that it's not too late to win the fight. You just need a little guidance and pointers from an expert, sort of like what a trainer does for a fighter during the fight. The trainer gives the fighter some different strategies and defenses to implement to help win the fight.

The good news is you don't have to figure out how to fight and save your marriage today all by yourself. There is no need for you to yet again to try to tackle this without training or guidance.

There is a person (consider her your trainer) I came across (Amy Waterman) who put together an inexpensive resource to help you keep your marriage on track. She has an easy to follow program that will help you and your marriage. If it's not right for you she offers a 100% refund.
